Family Therapy 

There is no one way to be a family and families can encounter many different challenges that arise from unclear boundaries, expectations, household responsibilities, changing life circumstances, and conflict. Does your family feel like it's pulling apart? Do small things develop into large conflicts? In family therapy, we will support you and your family members in exploring what has brought you to this point as a family, what your hopes are for the future, and reflect on ways you can make changes together.

At Positive Space, we work with families with teenage children and older from a collaborative and relational perspective using Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), an evidence based approach that is grounded in the science of human attachment. In session, we can support you and your family members in communicating and connecting in new ways and work with each of you to express your hopes and fears, share your vulnerable emotions, and to identify and change patterns of interaction that are pulling you apart.
