Lauren Skuba, MA, LMFT — Therapist & Founder
ICEEFT Certified Emotionally Focused Couples Therapist
I believe that relationships have the power to heal. When we feel safe and connected in our most important relationships, our nervous systems settle — and from that place of security, we can meet life’s challenges with greater resilience and openness.
I am a Certified Emotionally Focused Couples Therapist, drawing from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) — an evidence-based approach grounded in the science of attachment and supported by interpersonal neurobiology (IPNB). This integration helps us understand both the emotional patterns and the brain–body processes that shape connection. Together, we’ll explore how your nervous system responds in moments of conflict or distance and practice new ways to co-regulate, communicate, and repair.
Relationship distress often stems from a stuck pattern of conflict that leads to disconnection. In our sessions, we’ll slow down those moments, uncover what’s happening beneath the surface, and create new pathways toward safety, understanding, and closeness.
I completed my Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Regis University and specialize in working with couples, families, and individuals from a relational and experiential lens. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and non-judgmental. I strive to create a space where you can explore emotions safely, understand how you protect yourself, identify your deeper longings, and cultivate more authentic, connected relationships — within yourself and with those you love.
